Just saw this over on the Sprite webpage:

Now for everyone else, I have some more information on the release of the WM5 version or Sprite Backup. After talking to the project manager, he says we are about a week to ten days away from releasing a Beta version. Pending how the Beta goes the full release could be as short as a week after that, keeping us on track for a release before xmas this year.

A smartphone version will follow 2-4 weeks after that.

From the other traffic there it sounds like there will be two versions...one for 2003 devices (we have) and a separate one for WM5 devices. There's that much difference in the 2 OS's.
