Removing Software

I just upgraded to Agenda Fusion 8 and noticed that it did not remove the older verison (7.93) during install. In fact the install failed.

I tried the remove program on my iPAQ hx2415 and AF is not in the remove list. I then tried active sync and both the old and new versions appeared. I selected each and both disappeared from the installed list. But the old version is still on the PPC.

Any thoughts on how to uninstall it?

Thanks

Gary

Can you reinstall the old version and then delete it? Then try to install the new version?

I did some searching on the DeveloperOne website. They provide a list of files and sugget removing by hand.

I gave up. Did a clean reset and downgraded to 2003. Now, I am happy.

What do you mean when you say your downgraded to 2003. Had you upgraded to WM5.0. Did you ultimately have success upgrading AF to 8.0?

I am interested to know all about your experience because I have an hx2415, purchased AF a few weeks ago and am now able to upgrade to 8.0 (for free). Where did you find the list of files?...After your experience I'm a little nervous about the upgrade. I'll be sure to completely backup my system beforehand.

Thanks,

Julie

I had upgraded to WM5.0 about two months ago and have been using Agenda Fusion since last fall. The WM5 iPaq had version 7.9 installed. I tried to update to 8.0 yesterday and it failed, lack of memory. The install did not ask if I wanted to delete the old version.

I found a brief explanation on the DevelopOne site about the files to delete, but had no luck installing the update in main memory as it said I did not have enough.

I decided to downgrade to 2003se. The HP Tech guys suggested that I use the ROM/BIOS download from their website. It worked, I'm happy.
