Looks real good! I hope that Dell offers a ROM update as this OS looks "made" For the x50v. I doubt that most next generation ppc will be much better. If Dell does not have a new axim ready when 2005 comes out I would be surprised if they don't put it on x50 and offer a rom Update

nice...i especially like the pocket office stuff (especially the powerpoint viewer!!!)

however, it kinda sucks, cuz i just bought my x50 mid 4 months ago, and i hate the idea of it being obsolete already...however, if that OS works on the mid, and i can get it cheap, i'll definately upgrade!

any rumors of a release date yet? i'm betting late 2005/early 2006?

Mods, is there yet a single WM 2005 thread we can move these into?

This has got to be #6 in the last three days.

At one point in time, we also didn't think that PC's would need more than 640 KB RAM . . .

No, but if you think about it, at this point in time before the release of the most recent generation, we already knew about ideas such as the 2700G, VGA screns, the PXA270, etc. We don't know anything about what the next generation is going to be about yet, so it's almost reasonable to think it won't be too exciting. Think about the move from the strongARM ppc2002 to PXA WM2003 generation skip... wasn't THAT exciting... This most recent generation skip was the most exciting, in my opinion, with VGA screens, 3D graphics accelerators, etc.
