Here's the first review of WIndows Mobile 2005 I've seen
The author stresses that the new operating system is still in Beta, but it's a good read.

Snakefarm, PalmOS never did this until the Tungsten T5 and Treo 650. As a matter of fact, you couldn't even access leftover flash ROM to install programs there without a third-party program that didn't support all models.
