I think they mean that they will be 'showing it off' at the MEDC 2005 conference, not actually sending it out to the OEMs. Just think of the MEDC 2005 conference as E3 for the PocketPC Market as opposed to the games market.

Who knows, they might announce a release date at the MEDC 2005 conference, it is something we must watch closely

I highly doubt that Win2005 will be released within two weeks. More likely they will announce release date within 2 weeks. One of the biggest points about Win2005 is that it comes with .NET Compact Framework 2, which was released as beta 2 just a week ago.

Yea, and I expect manufacturers will take 1-2 months to start selling it on devices...

the oems probably already have the RTM of 2005 or at least a release canidate. so that they will have something to work with while developing new devices
