There isn't any. Until microsoft supports that resolution you will not see it in any official ROM release.

I think you might be missing the point of what alot of people are saying. No one has ever (or at least I have never) complained about the fact that a "free" upgrade was not provided from WM 2003 to WM 2003SE. The point is, Dell and HP did not provide an upgrade from 2003 to 2003SE at all. Fujitsu Siemens recently released an upgrade to 2003SE and took care of their customers. I couldn't care less whether there is a charge to the upgrade or not. I just want the upgrade to be made available. If Dell and HP screwed everyone by not providing a WM 2003SE upgrade, what makes you think an updgrade for the X50 series to WM2005 will be provided?

Don't you think screwed is a harsh word? I don't think there has ever been a promise to upgrade to a newer OS, just fixes for the current. Yea, that is a fine line sometimes, but I don't think that anyone was "screwed" by their X5 or X3 not being updated to WM 2003 SE.

One may feel that way if the think they are entitled to an upgrade, but I don't think that entitlement exists anymore. *MAYBE* an X5 user who upgraded from WM 2002 for WM 2003 could feel that entitlement, but no other Dell PPC has ever had an upgrade to a newer OS.

Dell made available an upgrade from Pocket PC 2002 to WM2003. I believe I paid something like $29.95 for it the summer of '03.

I'm not following you? I said they did offer an upgrade to the X5, the only one to date.

As I was saying, those X5 customers could be understood if they were unhappy with no upgrade to WM 2003 SE, because they had been offered one before. No other model has had such an upgrade and probably never will unless there is a serious problem with the hardware/os that "requires" it.

You are getting off track from the original point. Originally, someone above said maybe the X50 series will get the WM2005 upgrade. My response to that post was that it was doubtful that it would happen because of the fact that we were screwed over last year when WM 2003SE came out. The Ipaq has been around for several years and I believe they were provided upgrades from 2000 to 2002 and then from 2002 to 2003. Dell continued the tradition providing the OS upgrade from 2002 to 2003 as well. Asus and Toshiba announced last year that they would provide upgrades to 2003SE but I do not know if they ever followed through. I do know that Fujitsu Siemens recently made a 2003SE upgrade available. Clearly, there was (and still is with Fujitsu) an established practice in the pocket pc industry of providing OS upgrades. Until Dell and HP announce their intentions with WM2005, we are spinning our wheels and waisting our time.

I am not missing any point. I do not understand people's insistence Dell or any manufacturer must offer anything other than the product you purchased with the OS that it came with. It is a desire to have an pugrade, sure, but it is not a right. Nothing is diminished in the current model because I am not offered an opportunity to upgrade to a future OS. I too hope that Dell offers an upgrade. If they don't I am still satisfied and will not feel cheated because they don't. That is all I am saying here.

When you buy a computer and a new OS is offered do you demand a new operating system?

I don't want win 2005 mobile for 3 simple reasons.

1. They are trying to adapt it for phones and PPC's
2. It will be buggy as all microsoft OS software
3. I only think they came out with win 2005 mobile in 2005 to make people think wow I'm not running a 2003 operating system anymore.

Give it 6 months and you will probabnly see win 2005 SE

But I DO want activesync 4.0 NOW
