I am confident that we will have the opportunity to upgrade the X50 to 2005, but i eriously doubt the same opportunity will exist for the X30.

Since Dell does not look like they have a new ppc ready to go right now I would say they start selling x50v with 2005 after a week or two of release of the os. Upgrade for existing users might take longer if there any hardware issues. The x50v should be able to handle it so Dell will want to be one of the first out of the blocks with 2005.

I believe there will be an upgrade for the X50 however I do not see it being a free upgrade.
And herein would lie the problem. If they require a fee for the upgrade, they'll run into piracy problems. Someone shares it, next thing it's out there for the world. I stick to my original statement, free for all X50's (or X50v), or no upgrade. Of course, I could be wrong . . . :)
how do i vote for x30 no AND X50no... (i'd rather vote for X50V maybe... but there you go)

Do u think Dell and Microsoft will upgrade your Axim?
Personally, I think there are two chances of an upgrade: Fat & Slim. Should I be proven wrong, then my other pessimistic outlook is that you would probably have to sell your car to finance it, and if you did sell your car, finance it and download it, then it would take you a month of Sundays to sort out the buggers muddle that it would get you into.
