okay i saw on the spec of the release notes that it included integrated direct X support, does this mean that with a good sized memory card and (in a few years!) much faster proccesors that well soon be playing graphic intensive games, like sims, on our trusty PPCs?

hahahahaLOL, i agree, it would be preety cool though, sitting on the train telling susan (lets cal her that for now) to go and get a drink while also telling jhon (and lets call him that for now) to go to work. i used to play it for ages and ages, but ive recently been introduced to the wonders of chatting to people (well my friends, family, ect ect) half way over the world on MSN messenger (but sadly not through my PDA, how do you set up the internet passthrough thing?). I AM NOT ADDICTED TO ANY GAMES ON MY PDA, now if only i could tear myself away from lemonade inc........

i want a game like starcraft

We'll see if this opens things up.

My hunch is it won't, but we'll see a few great titles. I just don't see the market as being large enough to attract top talent from PSP and Nintento DS, but the current PPC wizards will be able to offer more and probably port more games that were not possible before.

Personally I'd love to see some new titles, rather than ports.

Sims and graphics intensive shoudldnt be in the same sentence dude. Heck if the sims war ported to the PPC i would just cry. That game ruined EA and its respect for decient games (IMO) Janes, Westwood, NFS 4point physics engine, Motor City Online, I miss you.

The original Everquest could be put on a 1GB card and played on the PPC.... gawd I'd become a f4nb0y all over again if I could play EQ anywhere

the game may have ruined EA but it certainly made them a mint in the UK if not the USA? they've sold millions of copies of the original and of the add-on packs. anyway that was just an example it could be any game that uses Direct X, for E.G. lego loco maybe (i havnt actully played it but it was all i could think of at the time).
