WM 2005?? Who needs it?!
bah! i don't like the new 2 button ways of 2005!
i figure people will miss all the lil buttons at the bottom. take for instance PIE you have to click the the menu to go back i'm asuming? i already hate hitting view to hit the foward command. i'm gonna guess there are other's like me...
i'll stick with my x30h and WM 2003se

all i want is a way to flash the BIS to get rid of unerasable journal bar files. although i don't even use the BIS anyway, SD card is all i use, way faster. i just like to be clean.

You can format BIS using Resco File Explorer... nice and clean I also don't use BIS.

I'll reserve judgement on the OS till I have played with it myself. Although in theory I agree with you.

just from screen shots and whatnot the os seams to still have that kinda stiff, unsmooth gui about it. I was hopeing it would be kinda smoothed out maby with some fade in effects or something. Hey I got XP on a 266 P2 with all the effects working, a pda shouldnt be left out with the sweet smoothness. I also hope today screens are a little easier to customize.

I'm going to stay put with mine as-is. X50 "mid", WM2003, A02. Works fine as-is.

WM 2005 won't work on the 30 series, so you'll be safe anyway. I use Resco for cleaning also....much easier to install the the SD card. I'll update if it looks like the x50v will run even better(the memory usage being the big one for me).

I personally think it'll be a good idea. I like being able to do things one-handed.

I was reading some of the new developer documentation yesterday. There was a section on how to create the 2 button softmenu things. You have to specificly create them in your application by only adding 2 top level menus. Based on this I'm guessing that it's not a requirement that applications use the new menus, they still have acccess to more menus as normal. Any top level menu with exactly 2 items iis automatically shown as that special kind of menu, if it has more menu choices I beleive it will be displayed the same way it is now.
