WM5 Upgrade to cost $39 in October
If you check out the main Axim page at Dell here it displays an ad for the free upgrade to WM5 when it comes out with a new Axim purchase. If you click on Offer Details it also says it'll be available in October and will cost $39.00.

Mark you calendars.

I did see the $39 value in Dell's ad and figured that's what the charge will be... at first. Then, of course they will discount it, with other purchases, etc. .

I'm thinking $39 U.S. based upon DELL's latest (I think) promotion offering the upgrade for free (a "$39.00 value" or something like this). I think It'll be worth it for the new mobile versions of word, excel etc. alone (IMHO).

This is my first post - sorry it is a negative one BUT...
I just received email confirmation from Dell that new US Axim purchasers WILL get a FREE upgrade - but us in the UK will have to pay.

I bought my Axim only last week, direct from Dell. Had I been based in the USA - my upgrade would have been free.

Thanks Dell - you sure know how to make a new customer feel valued. I guess the fact I used to live in New York doesnt get me a discount either - LOL!

BTW - Great site and thanks to all you posters for somke really valuable information.

The upgrade might be free in the states but some people have mentioned that the axim has gone up in in price by about $39....
