Mobile 5 compatibility

I brought the Axim X50V last month with the 20 percent discount from the dell site, Im a bit disappointed with it because it appears really sluggish from the word go compared to my Acer N35 GPS which is pretty slick compared to the dell when going into programs and refreshing the screen anyhow that is another story.
What I want to say is I had to buy a Sh*t load of utilities in order to get the bog standard OS up to what i consider a reasonable standard of fuctionality ie the windows explorer which comes out of the box is an outrage and to think I had to shell out $30 on resco explorer just brings up the word RIP OFF in my mind I just put on a trial version of battery pack pro another program i think should of been intergrated into the 2003 SE Os from the word go, and just to add insult to injury the internet explorer is a bloody joke to make it useable I had to add PIE Plus and i havnt even spent money on any application yet!!!!
Well you can probably see where Im getting to in this next paragraph. If i was to spend another ginormous pi*spot of money on the upgrade to mobile 5 would some of the programs which I had brought been made redundant by the new OS addressing some of these issues ie file explorer, internet exploere and a program which kills off programs which you are not using at the time. or if they have not addressed ANY OF THESE issues will the programs which I have brought be compatible with the OS.

I don't use any of those programs.

But just to play devils advocate, if they HAD addressed all those issues would they then get sued for bundling everything and being anti-competitive? Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer on PC spring to mind.

So I doubt that you'll see Microsoft trying to include "everything" in WM5.0.

The Enhanced GAPI helped my X50v with the sluggishness and also helps with games.

I Know it's not going to be any help to you.. but if another person finds this thread he might want to get Total commander and Magic Button to bring his OS up to the 'required standard' both are free.

Also do you have the AO3 rom update?
