I like it... 1/2 to 1/4 better battery life? NICE. Maybe that standard battery won't be so bad after all.

sounds pretty good, but support will be for new devices.

but either way, I bought x50v with standard 1100Mah, and can play around 2-3 full length movies (bout 4hours) before I need a recharge, also can play about 7hours of mp3 non stop on a full charge, so battery life seems great for what you get.

persistent storage only depends on the OS so it should work with any handheld using WM5. double the life on my x50v is definitely worth the upgrade.

Since files can't be stored in the RAM, It seems to negate the need for upgrading it (64mb of RAM is more than enough "Program Memory.")

I wish that either by default or with a hack, you can get windows to keep the IE cache in the RAM so that a soft-reset just clears it out...Like a pagefile. Those files add up FAST.

Well, hopefully that hack to put the internet cache on the SD still works in WM5.
I am concerned about his talk that programs designed for pre-WM5 operating systems may be very inefficient when it come to reading and writing to the ROM (as apposed to the RAM), hopefully developers will move quickly to fix that.
