looking at all the demo movies from M$'s design guru's they are always talking about 'qvga' and that they want it easy to read for %99 of the population, so I would say no, the se_vga maker will probably have to make a 50_vga app to make it work in 'true vga'.

se_vga & OZ_VGA doesn't seem to work with WM5.0 emulator, but might with a real device.

just causes the unit to hard reset.

Actualy Windows CE 5.0 does include new features that have to do with VGA devices. See http://www.developer.com/ws/pc/article.php/3518326 it says that pixel doubling is no longer supported. So all applications will have to be VGA aware.

it says your applications are HI_RES_AWARE by default.

and thats applications made in VS 2005.

it dosent explicitly say that pixel doubling is no longer supported. considering vga behaves exactly the same there is no reason that qvga shouldnt
