Does anyone know of availability of WM5 in Australia? No mention of it at all on dell.com.au. I hope its offered to existing X50v owners (like me).

Dell US and Canada are the only places where you can pre-order at the moment. I think the rest of us might have to wait till it's released

I live in Costa Rica and talk with Dell Latin America, I spoke with one agent se offer to call back, that was 3 days ago, and I am still waiting, I should call monday....

I spoke with them again and they told me that is going to be free download, I hope this is true, just wait until October, if this is true I guess a few guys will be angry of paying 39 for something that it is free...

I think they are wrong! it is going to cost you. (although if you could get it in writing it would be interesting )

The problem with Dell telesales people is that most of them don't know anything about the product lines themselves (and to be fair i know very little about the range of dell laptops etc..) so if it doesn't come up on the screen in front of them they are stuck. As the upgrade hasn't been released yet it doesn't exist on the system. So the sales rep normally tries to be helpful and takes their best guess.

     

It will be released in Singapore in October, according to the helpful Dell sales rep. Well, looking forward to it eagerly.

Of course they are wrong, I explain the "specialist" about it, and he was 100% sure about it, after several escalations, they told me that this will not be ready until january, or later...I really hate those excellences in service from DELL

I bought my axim in July and the sales rep mention that I would get it free somtime in October and I'm waiting. I don't think Dell offer that worldwide though as I remember not seeing the same promotion while traveling to Asia.

Ohhh..... and definitely it's not going to be webposted as free download.
