newbie here,
can anyone tell me how to get magic button to automatically load after a soft reset? using this os without it is terrible
thanks
If you install it in main memory that shouldn't be an issue. Things that run at startup work best out of main memory.

You mean that's not the default setting! What was he thinking when he wrote that program I wonder?

I suppose it's because if there was a problem then a soft reset would kill it

thanks psi,
that did the trick. i sometimes get freeze up when setting up new wireless connections. It was a pain to reload the magic button all the time.

that is a common problem. I suggest you use switcher bar by Dell that came with your Ax. you can just create a shortcut to switcher bar and put it in the startup folder.. that'd start it automatically after a soft reset. never crashes and takes very little RAM. Or if you are willing to spend a little you can get spb pocket plus with a lot more functionality including closing and minimizing.

I have been a lurker on Aximsite for about two years -- reading, but never posting. I had to let akheron know that his simple solution has made me a member. I love Switcher Bar, but have hated reactivating it every time I do a soft reset. Your tip has saved me a great deal of time and effort.

When it freezes up on the internet settings tap the "enter" key
to exit the page.

The X button minimizes apps, as it always has. This is an argument as old as Pocket PCs themselves and will never go away.
Take off your power users hat for a moment. To an end user, does the X button really do anything they wouldn't expect? If you tap X the program goes away.
With my end user hat on, why does windows xp have 2 buttons on it with an X to close and an - to hide.
and why does my pda keep running out of memory?
Hat taken off now. It is confusing to end users, but i don't think MS will ever change it.
