X = Close or Minimize?
Hi folks - considering the new method employed by WM5 for memory management, does anyone know whether clicking the close button actually exits the program or does it still just minimize it?
Thanks! | |||||||||

yah.. that x minimizing is confusing as hell. People who don't really know what x is actually doing end up complaining about their slow systems. IMO there should be both "_" and "X" so that ppl know whats what.

Why stop at close?
I want integrated magic button switching functionality... pity they wont... but imagine it integrated... task bar will never crash while the rest of the os works | |||||

I think you didnīt understand the concept of windows mobile. Windows mobile devices are "instant on" devices. X is meant to be close but in concept of "instant on" apps are only hidden so that they are still present when you start them "again". Personly I also donīt like that concept but it makes sense...if your device has a lot of power and memory.

I am brand new to the Windows mobile world and I simply can not get over how much less intuitive Windows Mobile is compared with the Palm platfom...with the "x" not closing programs leading my list of gripes at the moment.
