and what about italian upgrade to wm5? may I purchase a preorder on the usa dell site? and if so, may I install the rom upgrade in an italian axim x50v?

FYI... I call the support people in Latin America, and after a while they mentioned that the upgrade to Mobile 5.0, if you are an owner of X50, you can download it for free, the $39 are only if you want it on a CD. I am not sure about It, but after talñking with a supervisor, she said that; I will call her back in October to find out if this was true or not, I hope it was

Corporate account, most likely. Call your rep, if you have one and are a purchasing agent for a company. You might get a similar deal (too bad I can't do that.. my x50 isn't a company toy, it's mine).

got the dalay notice today. now shipping is moved to the 29th. still not bad if they actually ship it.

Sad news is that my expected ship date is "on or before 11/2/2005" which i think a load of crap, if they are already selling x51v with Windows Mobile 2005 why can't they turn around the shipment just as quick. Oh well, I guess I have to wait like everyone else.

Yep. I ordered it a few days ago with a ship date of early Nov. Hopefully, that won't get moved back...
