WM5 online activation ?

Will WM5 require online activation or some kind of anti-piracy protection on it? or will it just require an activation serial number? Thanks

I dont think so, its not a big seller like XP and its not like PPCs can be made (like people who make PC's and d/l the OS)

Imagine traveling overseas and then having to do a hard-reset. Oh, I'll just reinstall all my apps from the cab files on flash... oops, I have three days to register my device!

Considering that right now an OS must be modified by each PPC manufacturer to work on that device, I doubt there is as much of a piracy threat.

Now if a generic OS was to come out in the future that could be installed on any PPC, then we may seen M$ move in that direction.

A hard reset should not affect the ROM. If WM5 were properly installed in the first place, you should have no problems.
