SpaceTime 1.9 and CommandPrompt
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this community and would like to start out by saying what a great service you guys are providing to Axim users. I just received my Axim X51V last week and it is my first PDA. I hadn't realized that I was going to be on the bleading edge of a new operating system. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase. I especially like Acrobat Reader with the Tweak2K2 ForceVGA setting and PIE on fullscreen with View set to 25%; excellent use of the pixel density on the VGA screen.
The list shows SpaceTime working, but I've tried SpaceTime 1.9 and it hangs the system halfway through the opening tutorial on the first run. After a soft reset, it hangs on startup. On subsequent uninstall/installs it hangs on startup as well. I've tried a hard reset and reinstall. In this case it hangs during the tutorial and then hangs on startup from then on. Any suggestions. Who had it running? Did you need to do anything special?
Additionally I'm trying to find a Command Shell that will work under WM5. Any suggestions? I've tried the two and neither run.
Thanks for your help,
Michael

Newbie
This is a fantactic service.
Is there anyplace a newbie like me can find a rundown of what software programs do what kind of things? I know I can search by each program but there are a lot of them. This is my first PPC/PDA so I am needing some basic groupings. I found some on PIE and am waiting for NetFront because I need java script for some of my favorite web pages.
I have also been looking at folks' "My PDA". Are their other resources for finding out about software catagories? :rolling:

On Course Navagaitor 5 has lock up issues on WM5 X51v. It seems to work fine on 2003 X50v. OCN says that it is compatiable but after trying it, No Go on the X51v. Dells packaged product works fine without a hitch and no lockups
Pocket Breeze has issues also causing some stability issues, Waiting on next beta release to see if it has fixed.
Pocket Informant new release works great so far without any issues

Hi I'm new to the whole pda scene but coming from a generation that adopts techs fast - not having too many unsolved mysteries. Except I have no idea if my x51v is displaying a) everything b) some things or c) nothing in vga mode, Obviously running wm5. I can't quite understand why I would need a program to improve the screen quality - I assume it is in the manufacturers best interest to display the advantages of the vga w/out needing to buy third party software. Anyway if I need some third party software what's best and what are the cons to it - assuming that if their were none it would make sense that dell inc. the software in the package. SIncere thanks to any1 who responds,
Alex, (typing on his two day old dell axim x51v)

by appling VGA aware soft you are alowing the full view. You do have a VGA screen , but it's in VGA quality not size, By applying oz_VGA you will se 4 times the screen area.
Unfortunately no true Vga hucks are availilbe for WM5 right now

PocketBible
I just got an email from the president of Laridian Software. He states that they have a preliminary update for PocketBible (WM5). There's still a couple of issues to work out but it is running. If you are a PocketBible owner and are running WM5, go to Laridian's login and download page to get the update.

garmin que software?
I read that someone said the Garmin GPS10 Deluxe workd. I have a GPS10 bluetooth receiver and use the Garmin Que software on my x50v.
I really need the GPS to work... can someone with a x51v let me know about compatibility and add to the list??
Thanks!
