Well guys lets not forget that this IS AXIMSITE, so we are to talk about Axims. If this thread can help other pda users I would be more then happy but we are mainly to talk about Axims! Lets not forget that each hardware company adoptes it's own version of WM5.

@kf_man . I just didn't get if you had it eventually working , so I guess it's a no, right?

The latest Pocket Plus I found was 3.0.4 released 2 weeks ago and it is very unstable with my X51v.
It displays just fine but changing the settings causes freezes and the icons do not load properly from within the extended themes.
The backlight slider which worked perfectly on my X50v does not work with the X51v.

I wouldn't be too hasty on that, I have had no trouble with my X50v that can be attributed directly to that. I went through and changed most of the settings with absolutely no problems. I'm not saying that we should write you off, but let's wait and see on that one since it worked fine for me...

Try this:
Turn on repeating alarms -- uninstall the program -- and then reinstall.

On mine, after the second install repeating alarms is turned on.
That alone tells me that the program is not uninstalling properly.

And again, I'm using an X51v not an upgraded X50v.
Might make a difference -- especially for the backlight slider which definitely doesn't work for me.

Just tried Spb Time and that doesn't work for me either.
The alarm sound sounds one time but the screen never turns on.
If I press the power button to manually wake the device then the alarm screen is displayed and the alarm sound continues.
What good is that?

I think the proof is on the Spb website.
If they were assured of WM5 compatibility it would be pasted front and center on every product page.
It's not.

Personally, I think the list in the opening post is a worthless cut and paste job from sources unknown.
What we need is a list confirmed by Axim users.

Have you read any of this thread? :rolling: This list IS a list of applications confirmed by Axim users. But I doubt every application has been given a full, scientific examination for perfect compatibility. Most likely, a lot of these applications were reported as working after they installed correctly to a new unit. I myself reported on a few of the applications, and then later updated their status when I had more time to fully use the application.

Yes, I did.
Better than you apparently.
Over half (a lot more than half) of the apps listed as working have not been confirmed by posters in this thread.
Maybe they were confirmed by other Axim users elsewhere but the keeper of the list was asked his sources and he failed to comment.

I apologize for being confrontational but Pocket Plus and Spb Time are pretty heavy-hitters and a quick Google search shows that plenty of people are having problems.
An alarm clock program that doesn't actually wake the device?
Come on.....how can that possibly be considered as working?

Dude, link to those posts. I'm just trying to keep thing organized. if you say that you have a problem and others do not then we should thoroughly investigate, this is what this thread is for. People forget that we are a community, I don't own the khowlege, neither do you. we are trying to create a healthy discussion on those apps, it IS ok to disagree, it IS ok to investigate , learn and contribute your info.
As for the apps that were not discussed here they were tested at xda-developers.com, a very respectable community.

One last thing, keep in mind that listis SUPPOSED to be a subject to changes!

Now lets open a new thread on those SPB softwares or discussit here
