I was reading the posts in the WM5 area and i didnt quite find what i was looking for. While i understand that programs will be installed in BIS now, what is WM5 upgrade going to do to BIS. I mean does anyone know how much memory we will lose to the upgrade or if it will be significant? Seeing that the X51v has 256mb ROM made me wonder if they did that for something new or because it really needs that to install programs with enough room

Acording the one of the million other posts WM5 will take up aprox 68MB of room. That will leave x50v users with about 60MB to work with.

well i didnt really know how much we had available in the first place so even though i read it would take up about 60ish, i didnt know how much that would leave me. so thank you. how much do we have available now?

Plus you can send programs to your SD or CF card to conserve space. Either way there is plenty of room out there for our X50v and no need to panic. I believe people should be patient, and when the update comes out, it will be worth it.

128 is what is in the device. WM2003SE takes up around 38MB leaving you with around 90 right now.
