does the wm5 affect the rom version of the x50v? should i go ahead and update my rom now, and then get wm5 when it comes out, or does wm5 upgrade the rom automatically?

WM5 Is a ROM update. No need to update now unless you want to. A ROM update is the OS update.

if you install WM5 you will have the most current system out there. After that there will be different ROM updates for WM5 (maybe call them B01..B02..ect) So you can update to A05 now, but it will not make a difference if you install WM5. Good Luck~
