Total newbie to this site. I got my Axim x50v in March, called Dell yesterday to see if I can receive WM5 upgrade CD considering last week I saw it that they were giving that out with new orders (just before they put out x51 series out). The rep told me that they wouldn't send it to me because I bought mine "WAY BACK IN MARCH". Was anyone successful at getting WM5 update free of charge for your Axims purchased "way back"

I was a fortunate one of receiving the update with my order late in the game, however the good news is that Dell is selling it at a decent price!

That was an incentive to keep people wanting the X50 even with WM5 released. The way back models did not get the deal, thus you need to buy the CD in october to get wm5...totally fair as you bought yours with 2k3SE and were never promised a free copy.....

Dell have a special promotion on for people who bought it at about that time... you send the $39 and they will send you the disc
