palm would have nothing on qtopia. if I had a choice between WM5 and qtopia...well i have to see how WM5 works before I make a judgement, but theres just something about running bash on a handheld and compiling ethereal that makes my heart yearn for when I hada device that ran that OS :-/

Microsoft has finally put their "hands" on Palm. A gentle hand on their shoulders until the final push over the cliff of extinction… Next step, Apple

Palm already pretty much destroyed itself.

you cant seriously think that palm has been serious competition towards MS for a few years...they just kind of dropped off, offered nothing really new, etc...a lot of people converted to PPC on the pure fact that PPC devices have staggeringly better hardware, never mind the OS...sure they were there pushing microsoft to be better and better, because PalmOS is and always will be faster, because of the way it handles things (in my opinion, a horrible way for modern hardware, but back in the day, it worked wonders), and they have a pretty strong fanbase (even when shown my x50v, my old roommate still preferred his Palm device...i forget which one it was, but it had an integrated keyboard, which yes I do agree, is a fantastic feature).

now lets see the next Axim have a keyboard! PLEASE.

Those of us who owned Psions and Betamax have painfully been through this before, my advice to Palm and Apple users, get with the program

It will be amusing to run a Windows Mobile Palm emulator (StyleTap) on a Windows Mobile Palm device (Treo 700w)
