To flash or not to flash?!

I have just donwloaded WM6 for the Universal and was wondering wether to flash it. I really dont wanna brick my Axim and was wondering is there anyway i can reinstall the ROM for WM5 if anything went wrong? or could i get it fixed from Dell?

These upgrades are device specific so you would be taking a big risk if you try it.

Yeah i heard, will my Axim be ok though flashing with a universal crossbow Rom? I just want to be able to try it with out any messing up my PDA i wouldnt mind if it was just messed up like the resoulution was wrong so then at least i could revert back to the orginal Rom.

I think its one of those situations where if you have to ask the question, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

I recommend that you do not do this. Try it on an emulator first. (Yes, this is possible)

From what I've read, it's not "Universal" in the sense that it will work with any device. That "Universal" designation is referencing a specific device and that using it on any other device would most likely brick it since there won't be any support for the various hardware components of the Axim. If you love your axim, I would advise against this.

Yeah i was refering to the HTC Universal. An Emulator how do i do it?

Ok, we need a brave X51V user to upgrade attempt the upgrade on behalf of Axim users everywhere. It failed on an X51 mid... Anyone brave enough?
