There probably will never be a "Official" Dell update for WM06 (hell there way teeth pulling to get a A02 for WM05) But WM06 Classic "Unofficially" runs pretty darn good on my X50v here.
And the "Unofficial" AUK 3.5.2 WM05 update was already what we were wanting from dell for years and never came.
There is one coming out for the X51v from a differnet dev atm. It is not out yet.
No it will never work on an X3 X5 X30 or (maby but much less likely X50 (non V))

X50v WM5 Unofficial A03 (WM5 AUK 3.5.2)

I'm new to this site, and this is my first posting here.
I have recently emailed Dell customer support complaining about the lack of support Axim owners have been getting from them, especially with the WM6 Issue, and inquiring about the fact that they seemingly abandoned us altogether by discontinuing the Axim line.
To my surprise, several days later, I received a reply from them with an appology reffering me to Tech support about the WM6 issue, and included the following link to the new Dell Axim D150 Fly:
This would have to confirm to me that the rumors are indeed true about the new Axim.
I then called their Tech support and explained to the agent on the other end the issue with the new WM6, and informing him also that Microsoft is issuing the licenses free if they were to offer it to their clients. He seemed to be very surprised to learn all that, and promised to bring it up to management.
I would suggest that Axim owners not only keep complaining about it on here, but actually call and write to Dell itself about the issue. I beleive that they have yet to invent a mind-reading machine, and seemingly aren't paying attention to all the different blog sites.
Well the WM06 rom does work with the x50v without any major hookups. There is a wifi issue with some security setups but other than that. SDHC works like a champ and the device works with all the advanced WM06 features.
The bad news though is it needs a little tweeking or something. The Filesys.exe issue is back just as bad as the A01 and A02 versions we got from dell. So im going back to the A03 unofficial update since it was working quite flawlessly for me.
So it is great that it works with HTML e-mail and all, but im going to wait for another update to try it out again. Probably just a core WM06 issue just like it was for WM05. I think I heard somewhere that Auk 3.5.2 for WM05 was actually newer than WM6 atm.

There is no official WM6.0 update for the x50v. The ROM you refer to is illegal and so discussion of that ROM is not appropriate in this forum and against forum policies.

I personally wouldn't totally cross out the possibility of a new rom, just yet. A lot of HTC phone devices are still due for an upgrade. I'm guessing the HTC guys are just behind currently. A lot of carriers were promising upgrades to be out in July and a lot of customers are still waiting for them. Perhaps once all the phone devices are upgraded, we may see an upgrade.
