I tried it on a X51 and it burst into flames. but the update worked fine on my X51v. the update doesn't use rom flashing. since wm5 and wm6 are so similar it just copies over the system files needed for wm6 so you don't lose any of you files or programs in the processes.
hi Xendawarrior, i suspect it could be the old problem with using a USB to connect the Axim to your PC (ie network problem). Have you tried it via bluetooth?
I highly suspect this software is a fake. I just hope it is not harmful.
There must be someone out there with a computer and Axim that doesnt matter if it needs to be reset if this messes up.
Um, I don't think my desktop computer has bluetooth. (Usually laptops are equipted with that, and i don't have one.) What are my other options? By the way on that "hardes software" tool i told you earlier about, it says that this remote connection must be done using "port 9999". What does that mean?
Xdenwarrior, if it is the network problem that i experienced when I was updating to x12 ROM the only way i found around it was to use another computer. A lot of people say firewalls and other protection sofware can cause this communication problem. I dissabled all these and nother worked... then i tried a really basic computer and it burst into life. Would worry too much until someone proves this is not a fake... bet it is.
