i have 1 del axim x30 and i found Windows Mobile 6 on a site.

is it ok if i'll upgrade my PPC? do you know if iGo will work with the new version of Windows?

You won't be able to get WM5 on it because the hardware and memory are different. Just look at all the posts/problems about X50 upgrading to WM5.

If you want to upgrade IE, look at PIE plug ins (like PIE Plus) or other browsers, such as Opera, NetFront, etc.

You just wouldn't be able to put any WM6 rom on your device. It would have to come straight from Dell. Otherwise you would brick your device. You can't get WM5 for your device so why would you be able to get WM6?

I think many people think of upgrading roms like upgrading an old computer from win98 to winxp. It is possible, and easy to upgrade the os on a computer, b/c u can erase the whole harddrive and then upgrade.

But on a ppc, you have a rom, which is alot harder to hack/add to. Also, if ur on a pre-wm5 device, the whole way the device handles rom & ram has changed some.

I could possibly see this update on an x51v. But, unlike a pc, if u screw up your rom upgrade, ur device could be bricked.
