success with wm6 on x51v!(just incase the other one was blocked)
I wrote this to enlighten all who have owned or still owns there X51v. I have successfully put wm6 on my x51v. It’s faster than before and doesn’t freeze like in wm5. TO get a hold of the files need just go to google "x51v football wm6 cf fix" and search till you fix the rar file with the cf patch. It uses the sd loader to write the os to your x51v. So download, unrar and place both DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM5_A17EN_nb0.crc and DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM5_A17EN_nb0 on a fat32 formatted sd card. Press the wifi button along with the power and reset button. when the loader shows up on the screen double tap the action button and sit back as it finally makes you device functional and useful!
Enjoy
PS dont pm me, im on vaction and wont answer anytime soon

Many have done it, it is just Windows Mobile 5 with AKU 3.5.2 and a few mui icon changes.

too bad you are 100% wrong buddy...nice try though.
A17 FOOTBALL ROM = .mui icon changes, splash screen change, sounds, no pocket MSN, high res PIE, AKU 3.5.2, faster load times, USING WINDOWS MOBILE 5
so, if this was even to be WM6, where's our upgraded pocket outlook with html support? if you are going to post information, post with facts, not assumptions.
another thing. Football was apparently working on WM6 but he cannot get it working from what i read at xda-developers. so, to clarify, THIS IS NOT WINDOWS MOBILE 6!!!

So is this a legit upgrade? How can I find out what I have installed is uptodate? Can you get this upgrade at the Dell web site?
So many questions.....

absolutley NOT. this is Footballs' interpretation of WM5 with some minor updates, mainly the new aku update. it is no means WM6 whatsoever, however it has a few elements from it (modified icons for certain applications/ui, modified sound pack, included .tsks) that he added in to give it that feel.
by using this rom you are breaking your warrenty with dell.

No Viper, not official. Made by our neighbor in Russia. ;)
Don't do it willy nilly, make sure you're prepared to void your warranty and or (with the rare chance) brick your device.
BTW I'm loving it right now.. faster and 10x better with my RAM.

I'll bet at least one person has, but they were probably able to revive with the SD Bootloader method.

I remember reading he's had problems with CF card, is this resolved ? (Was it even related to this AKU ?)
Also, did anybody have a problem installing Widcomm stack afterwards ?
Thanks !
