WM6 and Sprite Backup 6

Anyone else having problems with their Windows Mobile 6 device and Sprite Backup? I recently did a restore and now Activesync 4.5 can no longer connect to the device. I used the Activesync Troubleshooter under Help in Activesysnc and everything looked fine there. I'm using an HTC 7501 AKA the HTC Advatange.

Have you tried deleting your existing AS partnership and setting a new one up? I've never found the troubleshooter to be much help. Are you receiving any kind of message when you try to connect?

Not only did I delete the old partnership I reinstalled Activesync. I was seeing a message about Sync could not be accomplised trey reconnecting your device but since reinstalling Activesync I don't even get that anymore.

Another symptom since restoring the backup is that when I soft-reset the Advantage it asks about the .dlls that run my today plug-ins, when I click yes I trust the developer they load if I don't click on yes it just hangs.

I see a hard-reset in my near future.

Before you do that, go out and rename the pim.vol file on your pocket pc to something like pim2.vol. You can find it off the root folder. Then perform a soft reset and try to sync.

I had a similar issue with my WM5.0 pocket pc last week and I thought I was going to have to perform a factory reset, but renaming the pim.vol file did the trick for me.

I appreciate your advice Julie but I'm going with the hard-reset. Sprite Software got back to me about another issue I hadn't listed here and suggested that I go with their latest engineering version which fixes various issues people have been having with Sprite Backup 6 and WM6. I'm just going to reinstall everything and start over.
