How do I view/Change file extensions in WM6?

Hi

Is it possible to change the file extension of a file on a WM6 device? For example I would like to change hello.cpp to hello.txt on my device - the built in file explorer does not seem to support this and google hasn't helped me much. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Mike

Total Commander for Pocket PC is a freeware option that should work for you. Give me 30 minutes and I'll test it out on my HTC Advantage with WM6.

Total Commander worked fine on my Advantage. I renamed a .pwi note file to .txt and it opened garbled in Word. Then I changed the file extension back to .pwi and Notes opened it perfectly. Here's a link Total Commander - PocketPC and if you use the ARM/XSCALE.cab file you can install it directly on your device, no activesync needed.

Another program that is useful is Rinfix's Pocket File Manger, Found Here: PocketFileManager.com - Rinfix Pocket File Manager - a dual-pane file manager for Windows Mobile It isn't that expensive, and it does a few more things (Split Screen) than Total Commander.
