Need help fixing my Omnia after a crash

Does anyone know how to do a hard reset on the Samsung Omnia as well as reinstall the OS as it had a bad crash on Monday and a guy called Matt at the Vodafone store in Liverpool tried to fix it yesterday but he couldn't as he didn't have a certain Microsoft file that he needed to fix it.

I got a Omnia CD off him as he said that it should have the files needed to reinstall the OS but I can't seem to find them anywhere nor can I seem to access my Omnia a lot of the time...

If anyone has any idea on what I can do, especially as I need it fixing for a trip to London that I'm going on tomorrow, I'd be very grateful.

I typed "Samsung Omnia Hard reset" into google and the first link gave me this.

Link to page here.

And the online User Manual.

Generally speaking, a hard reset will re install the OS for you, you shouldn't need any CD or Extra files.

I've tried it and it doesn't seem to work... (I take it the Cancel Button is the one to the right of the Call Button?)

I had a bit of difficulty in getting that idea of yours working but right now I've got the Windows Mobile screen up although I'm still having trouble getting past the Align Screen section.

EDIT: I still can't get past the Align screen section...

Sorted out the align screen issue

If you "pretend" to colour in a small o around the centre of the cross it will accept it and move on! Bizzarely enough, if you do it like this the touch screen seems to work better than ever!
