Deleting Filterfs reg edit will not work

This filterfs thing is driving me crazy. It is causing conflicts with Pocket Player so I need to get this resolved. I deleted HKLM\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\FilterFSD and then rebooted the device but that same reg key comes back after reboot every time.

I have WM6 and I used PHM Reg Edit to perform the operation.

According to a post I found but cannot link to, Filterfs is caused by a remote desktop application being installed? I did try installing an updated remote desktop app and now I have two versions of the MS remote desktop app on my device. Perhaps that is my problem. How do I uninstall the remote desktop apps? I can't get them to work anyway...
