and yet, we can't really talk about the 2 combined ... hush hush !!!



I totally agreed that we shouldn't provide a "hack" ROM or links to the direct download ...etc

but when it is in the form of information provided that there's a "you know what" that exist ... the poster/thread gets closed/deleted ...etc

why not just closed the whole "WM6" forum then ???

The forum was made before dell discontinued the axim. There was still a possibility of a wm6 upgrade from dell.

Keep forum as is. Or rename it to "WM6 dreams forum" :-))

i aint the most knowledgeable person when it comes to my x50v but on another forum i stumbled across a Dell Axim X50v Windows Mobile 6 Classic A01 ROM
The forum in question happens to be xda-developers

i know, i know people are going to say that is not an official Dell ROM upgrade, and its true, it is not an official upgrade but someone has actually made this ROM. I have not tried it yet and even though the people that have replied to the topic have said it works fine and actually improves their x50v, I am not sure on whether on doing it.

Btw, can i post the link to it? its not a download link and from that it tells you what to do, bascially using the flash loader for the ROM images but there does seem to be a lot of bugs, some of which i could not live with (such as clock speed stays at 624mhz and tcpmp does not work)

Do not chastise me for this, to me it does seem different from people's previous 'hacks' and 'look-a-likes' to WM5, but again, the choice is yours

This forum is for creating posts for mods to close later when axims get involved.

Ive seen several now, threads that were started by mods or aximsite staff about wm6, some even on axims, that they end up closing later.

In my opinion this whole wm6 forum should be banished from aximsite.
