Considering uping 51v to WM6, but is it worth it?
I've been out of circulation here for a while and recently saw the WM6 rom was available. I'm leaning towards the upgrade, but I'm wonder is it worth it.

For example I was dumb enough to upgrade a PC to Windows Vista, only to be disappointed, my PC was rated 4.2 out the 5.0 that Vista rates the PC's now, but to me Vista is Just Bloated and Resource Hungry, I've Since Switch back to XP Pro.

Is this the case with WM6 or will it actually be worth the upgrade, and does it support 2003-2005 apps? Just a few questions...

WM6 Rom discussions for X51V WM5 are prohibited here. Go to XDA-Developers Forum for detailed discussions. Back to your Question--Makuu's M17 running WM5 for X51V is as good for an upgrade to your Dell WM5.

Full VGA support and SDHC support is great. Response is faster than Dell A12.

WM6 or WM5 = Tried both. Equally good and both are worth it over any Dell ROM.

In case you didn't know, any WM6 ROM for any Dell PDA is illegal thus the reason for the prohibited discussion. Dell never released an upgrade to WM6 and probably never will. It is agreed here that cooked WM5 ROM's are legal as long as they are used on a PDA that originally came with WM5. I use the latest Dell ROM (A12) on my X51v and have no problems at all. I have no need to move to another ROM but many others here do, i.e. SDHC, BT drivers, VGA, etc...

I really recomend EVERY x51v user to rom upgrade
I use the football A03 RTM with pp at 8mb (give lot of ram and speed cpu)
Those rom are really stable and the upgrade is really easy (with a SD card in fat32)
