I'm considering the purchase of a WM6 device after a number of years of extensive use of WM5.
One of the most useful utilities on my WM5 device was the "Word Completion Dictionary Editor" created by Dmitriy Geels. I used it to add words to the list of suggestions that appear when word completion is enabled (in WM5,
Start > Settings > Personal > Input > Word Completion). I added a variety of words that weren't included in the default dictionary, including surnames, e-mail addresses, industry terminology, and so on.
I've been playing with an emulated WM6 device, and WM6 does not support the utility. Web searches have made it clear that
none of the dictionary editors that worked on WM5 are working on WM6 devices, emulated or real.
Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Possible solutions could include:
- a method for editing WM6's (evidently well-hidden) dictionary file manually
- a referral to an updated or new editor that works with WM6, preferably freeware.
I know that a functional word completion dictionary editor would not strike many people as a killer app, but the nature of the work I do on my mobile device makes it an absolute necessity.
cheers
