In the Letter Recognizer popup, the screen is divided into three horizontal bands. I can't figure out what the lowest band is for. The built-in demo seems to indicate that it's for lower-case letters that dip below the line, like "p" and "y" yet I can write these letters just fine without it. It seems like a big waste of space to me. Anyway to turn it off? If not, any third-party software that will turn it off?
