Now, this sounds like fun. Ive always believed that apple products are over hyped and that with 3rd party software and some intelligence, windows products such as wm are just as good.

I dont really know what the itouch lacks compared to wm, but i hear that they are closed to 3rd party apps, so i bet a lot is missing. Maybe somebody who owns both devices could point it out better.

i personally think that iphone and ipod touch should vary in price what... $50 (because of the camera) i mean the service bill is expensive enough can you charge any more for the phone. Next thing you know it, its going to be iair, and you have to pay like $300 to breathe.

well, good luck "taking it down"

unless he has ssh installed, without physical access to the device, unless your 733t enough to hack his wifi stack, i doubt any "taking down" on your part will occur

Try:
  • Bluetooth a contact
  • infrared remote his TV
  • Pocket TV listings
  • Offer him a movie on your SD card
  • Insist he give you some movie in exchange
  • Take him out to the bush where there's no WiFi or Cell signal. Pretend to go Pee and GPS your way out of there leaving him alone.

Looks like the only reason Mudrock1000 joined Mobilitysite was to cut down the iPhone. IF you don't like it, don't buy it.

Is it threatening you in any way?

I have friends with iPhones and they're very happy. Personally, I don't plan on buying one. Not because they're not good. My x50 does everything I need it to and more.

This site was designed for people to discuss common issues, concerns, and gain knowledge. If you want to degrade a mobile product just for fun, go someplace else. We don't need you here.

The only reason i dont like iphones are b/c they are made by apple.

This is probably a stereotype, but it seems that apple users think they are better than windows users.

People always associate microsoft with being money hungry, but yet apples products all cost at least 2x what ms stuff does. The iphone may be the only exception, but its on a cell phone plan so its cheaper.

I don't disagree with you, but this kid comes in here wanting to "take down" the iPhone. We don't need that kind of thing in our forums.

Don't like it, don't buy it, and don't recommend it.

im no apple fanboy, but i think you should look in the mirror.

the iphone is an amazing device and there are a lot of products that apple makes that are a lot nicer than a run of the mill pc. apple has top notch hardware, comparable with ibm, some hps, and some high end sony and hp computers. you get what you pay for! you probably think dell is top of the line?

i wish people would stop picking sides and take the fence out of the picture. this is technology, not religion? embrace the fact that this is amazing and one of a kind technology

Unfortunately, ppl are always going to take sides. Differences of opinions are allowed. And, that's fine.

I take the premise that better, or best, doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to buy it. Unless it meets my needs.

What we need to get rid of are those who want to cut down a device just because they don't like it or have it.

I'm currently using an iphone that has been given to me through work.

I'm amazed by how good it is.

I doesn't replace my Advantage or my Ax, but as a multi function phone it is terrific.
For the majority of users it has more than enough features, and will continue to get better.

I personally use whatever technology is best for the job at hand, I often switch from PC to Mac and back again depending I what I am working on.

Maybe this thread should shift to the P&R forum eh Kc

I agree. But, our society has never been that open to change or new technology. To many ppl with the "If you don't think and do like I do, you're screwed up" attitude.

If everyone embraced technology, like they should, do you think we'd need the post office, except for sending packages?

You're right Box. Think we can get someone to move it for us?

im not talking about us in terms of a society, im talking about us as in the people here at mobilitysite. i would hope (and i was under the impression that) this would be a place to explore new technology, ask questions, and learn about new and exciting hardware and software.

if you want to exploit apple products you need to go to macshadows or some other forum

I agree, Mobility site should be the place to learn and explore new technology. But, you'll always have a few who seem to stir the pot and create problems that don't exist.

I'm hoping Mudrock will either go away or change his behavior.

Ps - Don't let these ppl get to you. Just put them in their place, then ignore them if they continue.
