Samsung i760 sync

I have a Samsung i760 phone, and the charging cradle to go with it. I am trying to sync the calendar with the one on my computer (google calendar, which i gather has to be done through outlook - i installed googlesync on my computer). However, i am not sure how to make my phone sync with my computer. is just plugging it into the cradle sufficient? is there any buttons i need to push or programs i need to install?

According to the online user manual for your phone, you need to install the sync software.

If you have XP you need ActiveSync
If you have Vista you need Windows Mobile Device Center.

Both can be downloaded free from Here.

Right, you must first install either of the OS-specific versions that Box listed above to connect/sync your device with the OS.

i did everything suggested, and it didnt seem to work, and then one time it just eventually did. i dont know what the difference was. thanks for the help! it is much appreciated
