I know this is an old thread. And I'm pretty sure its probably outdated, but...
I have found my WinMo device to be VERY handy for one reason, and really only one reason: I can SYNC my calendar!
We use Outlook on the work computers. I use the calendar on there for everything from work related stuff and non-work related stuff. I use it for reoccuring events to make sure I don't miss something routine (like monthy audits or yearly audits); i use it to remind me what day is payday and which bills need to get paid out of that particular paycheck; I use it to book my doctor's appointments, hair cut appointments, and even weekend get-aways with the wife. Anything that gets set as a date goes in the calendar. I use it to keep track of who in the office is on vacation so that we can properly schedule everyone else... and, oh yeah, I use it to remind me of everyone else's scheduling too.
Then, all I do is SYNC it up and I've got my calendar to go. So easy.
In fact the #1 choice in choosing my new WinMo phone (Samsung Jack running WinMo6.1) is that it easily syncs with my work PC and home PC. And I don't have to beg the IT guys at the office to allow me to install new software. Just plug it in and go.
I used to have a Dell Axim x50 that really kept me in track. Now I have the same usability, but combined with my cell phone into once device.
All that other stuff? Unneccessary in my book. But my all-in-one planner that is constantly updated with my work computer? GOLD! Solid gold.
