Axim X50 battery works in Palm Treo 650 !
My Palm Treo 650 battery just died and I noticed my spare Axim X50v battery looked IDENTICAL to it. I popped in my AXIM battery and lo and behold the Treo 650 booted !
Can anyone else with an Axim and a Treo confirm this?

Sweet... I wonder if the Axim X50's 3300 mAH battery would work...

So, were you really able to get the PDA to work with the X50 battery? I'd be surprised, but.....

As far as we can tell, the battery does not work with either the Treo 650 or &00W. Can someone confirm the opposite?

So, has anyone else tested an axim x50 battery into a treo 650?

It does not damage the treo, does it?

I own an axim, and just got a treo that I bought from eBay but came without battery, so while I get a replacement I was thinking of booting the treo with my axim x50 battery pack

thanks

here's your confirmation

i took my battery from my x51v and tossed it in a treo650 that has a broken screen. sure enough, it fired up!. my battery was fairly low and the treo reported it as empty. it seems to be able to charge in the treo, but i'm pulling it out before i screw it up.

the treo's battery is bigger, so i'm guessing the axim battery would not last nearly as long

just to let you know, my axim reports the battery as having a 38% charge. i'll charge it up and let you know what a full charge in the treo says :P

my *GUESS* is the treo will report it as low. its got to be a lower capacity battery so its calibration is off

update:

well, i charged the battery to 97% and put it back in. the treo still shows as 0%, but continues to work. i turned on the radio but i dont have service so i cant make any calls. one thing i noticed is that if i hit the power off button to blank the screen, i couldnt get the screen to come back. it might have been a function of the treo though. the user dropped it and broke it (hence the broken screen)

the 2 minutes i played with it in the treo took my battery to 94%
