Any BlackBerry owner here?
How is it so far? What is the feature you like and dislike the most?

I like the fact that it's always online. And that it takes a beating. I've dropped it so many times.

Not that keen on the fact that the display is pretty poor (I use a 7250)

I don't have one... but serveral guys at work do.

Being a pda person I was sceptical... until I played with it for a day.

From a users point of view it's great. Really intuative to use, no configuation, no need to work out how to sync. It's allways on and It just works. Even managers can use them straight away.

It is to email, what the Ipod is to MP3.

Would I swap it for my axim? never. I'd miss the flexibility. But that's also why i don't have an ipod. But If I had to give a device to a group of managers (who know little about IT) i'd give them blackberrys every time.

Well, since I just picked up a Treo 700wx, I really have no need for a Blackberry. I have my pda, phone, etc. all rolled into one now. I won't say that I will never own one but I can't see myself owning one in the near future. I'm loving the 700wx!

I hate it, and haven't charged it for months. Although I liked the Nextel phone built-in, I can't abide being pestered with e-mail. After a few weeks I turned off the noise/vibration and it made it a lot better, but even the temptation to do anything with it other than read quick e-mails is a complete waste of time. For me, I can type a whole lot faster than I can peck with my thumbs. And trying to read any important e-mails with it isn't particularly useful, either.

It was bought for a special project at work (and didn't even amount to a "horrible" fit ... we were supposed to browse web pages with it and enter ticket information). My Axim would have been a far better fit.

We may have to use it at work so when we receive support request you don't alwasy have to go back to your desk to check email support request. It is also a way for the helpdesk staff member to keep tab on each other while doing rounds. I think that my Axim would remain my device of choice for MP3, tasks, calendar and of course games.

The contrast on it is not good. Admittedly you check your email using plain text so it's a non-issue there, but it does allow viewing of photos for example, and even compared to my iPAQs 320x240 screen the image on the BB is poor. Not just the resolution but the colour density and contrast etc.

Not really a big deal though - the fact that it's so rock solid, I have the EVDO upgrade and can use it as a modem for my laptop and the QWERT kb are all benefits that outweigh the poor screen.

picked up a 6750 just for giggles. Have to admit I can't see it replacing my X30H.
It does compliment the X30 in that it has a phone and can get e-mail almost anywhere, no need for WiFi.

my company recently gave me a blackberry...7130c. it is pretty nice...surf the web any time anywhere with decent speed, IM, email, nice phone. i could even access my bank, credit card site, gambling website with this bb while i can't even with my axim x30 unless i hacked it or use a third party browser.

pros:
all the stuff i mentions above. hardly have to reboot, my 7130c model is thinner and smaller than my axim x30, can tether with ur laptop as a modem, qwerty keyboard or suretype keyboard.

cons:
can't watch video. i would love to watch video from the web.

long story short, my axim is collecting dust on my desk while i carried my bb everywhere now.
