FINALLY Got Full YouTube on the I760
After countless deletes and reloads of both TCPMP 0.72RC1 and the bundled flash cab file as well as one needless hard reset, I FINALLY got full YouTube working on my Samsung I760.

The issue was that PIE simply wasn't responding to Youtube video links as I saw on posted sucessful videos. The submenu to select Play-Save-Linked never showed up and I would get a message that the video "is no longer available and may have been remorved".

After a search and visit to a site call wmexperts.com and this link: Full Youtube, it now works.

EDIT: I was wrong, you don't need to access the Video Sites shortcut. Full Youtube videos work with direct access to Youtube with PIE.

The "Real Secret" (and quite frankly it may have always been available during one of the many loads of the flashbundle) is that when Youtube is displayed in PIE, to select a video, BRIEFLY tap the video icon to see the "Play-Save-Linked" submenu. If you hold the stylus too long, the submenu is skipped to the default PIE submenu. (See capture003)

My apologies if this is common knowledge that I've missed; however, I've spent weeks finally getting this. (And I don't even visit Youtube regularly . . . it's just the "if you can do it, why can't I" frustration that needed to be pacified)

Anyway, maybe this will be helpful to someone.

Yes, I was using Mobytube until I got the Full Youtube working. It's a good alternative.

i 760 Samsung YouTube
Thank you for pointing the way, KPDUTY! It did help get me started. I could not, however, follow your instructions exactly since the link to the PPC Version found in zbop on WM Experts returned an error 502 on both 1/12/08 and 1/13/08. I discovered that I could use the link there to the Smartphone Version instead, and it worked. This is even though the i760 runs windows mobile pro. I downloaded the Smartphone Version 685 KB file tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.CAB. After successful installation of the TCPMP there was a message: The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of windows mobile software. I then went to the WM Experts zbop post Full Youtube and Google Video access (V 1.4.3 posted). I downloaded the FlashVideoBundle.CAB. This required a Log In to the WM Experts site. It first returned a page full of symbols, so I went to the bottom of the page and selected View Page in HTML and English appeared. I downloaded the 797KB file FlashVideoBundle.CAB, note this actually shows up as Skunkworks FlashVideoBundle in memory, and restarted the i760. In TCPMP I went into File Options, Settings, Select Page, Buffering and set the Normal buffer size to 1184 and preload at underrun to 5. I also went to Select Page Advanced and set the Manual AV offset to minus -400, then went to Select Page File Associations and checked MPEG4, JPEG, Flash Video and MMS protocol in addition to the check marks already there in other boxes. Then I went to YouTube using HTML not mobile, and it works great. I will mention it did not work for me to use the ytpocket.com install on the ytpocket site. The TCPMP FlashVideoBundle there appears to be TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2 cab, not the Skunkworks FlashVideoBundle. Thanks again to zbop and KPDUTY for enabling me to watch the likes of James Brown and The Doors without a hitch...

For those of you who are using these cabs to access full youtube videos, I'm sure you're aware of the recent changes at Youtube that caused the original flashbundle cab to not work.

The good news is that the cab author is actively keeping up with the changes.

His latest release restores the original full function.

The link on the 1st post of this thread has the new update
