Which phone should I get?
For years I've been using my trusted good old Axim X51v for everything from organizer and reminder to reading ebooks, playing games, watching videos, listening to music, etc. etc.

But I finally realzied that if I get a smartphone, then I'll have all this PLUS A CELLPHONE! duh!

So now I'm trying to decide which particular phone to get?
I need it to have all the following features:
- Windows Mobile based
- have touch screen (and be compatible with most software for Pocket PC)
- the screen size must be not smaller than Axim or any other 'normal' PDA
- have a nice cool or unusual design, a show-off factor that would command attention when noticed
- have very good tech specs, it should be at least as powerful as Axim X51v

What can you suggest?

I have been looking at the ATT tilt. It has great specs, the only ting holding me back is the reported terrible graphics performance. www.tiltsite.com

I'd suggest this site for checking it out.

Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine

Go to Buyer's Guide (left side) and select device comparison. Then, select Windows Mobile Smartphones near the top.

Keep in mind the phone you buy has to be compatible with a provider in your area.

It is a nice unit. But, the screen size is a full inch smaller than the AX.

And, then you must consider right handed or left handed, makes a difference, I think?

You're not going to find a converged device with a screen the size of a standard PDA - there's just no such animal yet...
But as for the rest of your requirements I'd pick the Tilt
