Changing from Axim X50V to SCH-i760
I'm still running my Axim with its original versions of WM and Active Sync on Win XP SP2.

Now I've bought the i760, and I'm hesitating on the right software upgrade approach. Do I have to uninstall AS 3.7.1?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions. What else should I be thinking about?

While I'm at it, I want to order the Sena case. I think I saw something about the magnet causing trouble though. Is that right? If it is, is there a better solution? (I love the Sena case on my Axim.)

I think you will have to upgrade to AS 4.5 in order to sync your i760.

I have read about manget issues with the slider keyboard, but don't know details. I went with a Seidio case.

Magnets have been mentioned as a concern for several years, but I have not seen a technical discussion of a real (in contrast to a perceived) problem. When you open or close your i760, the force which keeps the handset opened or closed is created by magnets.

Magnets? First I've heard of magnets in the i760 or any phone in fact. If there are magnets in the i760 they are too weak to pick up a small paperclip. I therefore think that there are no magnets in the phone, it seems more of a mechanical than magnetic.
