I was never a huge fan of the thumbboard (although I now have one on my cell phone and can tolerate it).

I don't think I could go back to anything without bt and wi-fi.

Not bad. A couple coworkers have these and love them. I too would like to see them include at least wifi in a future model before I would consider one.

You could go with the 650 and then at least have BT.

I'd consider one when they make one with PPC OS, not Palm.

it's not a smartphone per-se.

anyway,
I think current model 650 is much much better, and I always thought Palm OS is somewhat a lot more stable compared to MS OS's.

Anyone has this phone?

i have used it, and it seemed unstable and froze up a lot

i dont like the palm os on it, i just got away from palm a few years ago and i would never need to go back to it

In my mind it is also sort of bulky for a cell phone

sorry for all the negatives, but i will keep my cell phone and pda separate for now

A co-worker just got a new 650 and loves it since he won't have to carry his old separate cell phone and Palm pda. He asked my opinion before buying, and didn't care about wi-fi and the OS works well for him since he uses ACT.

Too each his own

If anyone can use an old b/w Treo 300, http:www.tigerdirect.com has 'em for $99!

they are nice, and i considered one a few days back as i was looking for a new phone, i already decided i would get a smartphone, pocket pc phone, or a treo 600. i decided on an audiovox smt 5600 smartphone mainly because of the size of the treo. it wouldnt fit in a pocket very well, and me school would just be dying to take it from me.
the smt 5600 will get here friday, look for a thread sometime soon on my impressions.

got a little off topic there, but i think the treo is probably a pretty stable device, and would definitely consider it if it werent for its size

Treo 650 is better. I personally went with the Sony Ericsson P910a.
