I was wondering if I were to buy the new iPAQ Mobile Messenger ,that is coming out in a couple of months, would I have to pay for coverage or can I just not utalize the phone part of it? I like what the rest of the device will be, but cngular doesn't have coverage in my area.

I think you'll have to wait and see. Traditionally though, you can always buy the cellphone without a plan, but you pay a lot more for it. So a phone might be $50 with a 3 year plan or $250 with no plan.

It is possible they will come out with an unassociated verzion that is not dedicated to ay specific phone service. This would let you choose any cell service. Though these types of phones/smartphones do ten to cost a little more.
