Samsung i700 vs. Treo 600
Alright guys. I have come to realize that I buy a new phone to get more fancy crap every year and have decided to get a pda phone MAINLY for being able to sync contacts with the phone and access internet stuff. Its also a pain in the as* to program 400 plus phone numbers in every yr (I refuse to pay for Verizon to transfer my numbers, sometimes they can't anyways). My problem is I already have a x50v so I dont really know what to choose phone wise. I dont know if I should get the Palm version phone or the WM version. The i700 does not have a keypad and is all touchscreen whereas the Treo 600 has both TS and keypad. They both have a camera, both have an SD slot, but the ram and rom is obviously more on the WM version. The Palm has double talk time and massively more standyby time than the WM version. The Palm also looks way more like a phone as it is about an inch smaller height wise and and .6 in less or so width wise. I am strongly leaning towards the Palm as this will serve mainly as a phone and simplicity may be better, and the fact that it has keys really leans me more since I have never had to write text messages and enter shi* without keys and think it may be weird. Does anyone have any suggestions, is my reasoning good (about having keys and it being more of a cell phone size). Has anyone used both palm and wm for phones and have any suggestions to give me. I dont wanna get this thing and then say dang this sux I want more and have to get something else. The cost of the palm is also a real getter, especially since I am a firefighter and my phones tend to see some crude use lol. I have Verizon as my provider so this will be a CDMA phone and I plan on buying on ebay, ESPECIALLY if I buy the Samsung i700 as I have spent lots of money on my x50v already lol. Would I enjoy having both worlds with a palm phone and the king of PPCs?
On a seperate note who has what provider and what do you think? I have had AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. AT&T was crap in the country (rural Texas), I was very happy with Sprint, but switched to Verizon as they offered more minutes for the same price and had cheaper internet access. Does anyone use Cingular? It seems the more white collar jobs use Verizon and Sprint and the common person uses Cingular NOT TO BE JUDGEMENTAL AT ALL, but the corporations down here all use Verizon and Sprint. I like the Cingular rollover, but when you look at coverage maps off all the big providers in the US I think Verizon has the best, does anyone agree? Anyways Ill shut up now! Let me know guys Id really appreciate it!
