ok...i've finally able to sync my nokia calendar w/ my X50v like this

1. sync X50v to outlook on PC + vice versa
2. sync nokia w/ outlook using nokia's PC suite

here's my problem or question:
i don't want the alarms for the appointments +anniversaries etc to be activated on the nokia but do want them on the X50v+PC.....cos the nokia has loud annoying beep that won't stop till u physically dismiss it....i can't see myself doing that 5-6 times a day @ work

seems like an easy problem to fix but i don't really have a solution....any ideas?? TIA

haha i am answering my own post...

just in case there are folks out there having the same problem, this is what i did...purchased the SmartProfile from here:

have initially set-up a "work" and "after-work" schedule, and it allows the Nokia to toggle between the profiles that I assign to the "work" and "after-work" schedules...tried it out today and it worked great...

in this case I am using the meeting profile for the "work" schedule and my custom profile for the "after-work" schedule...that way i can't still have all my alarms appointments synced up to date without worrying about beeping alarms throughout the day at work on my Nokia phone...

handy little software for USD9.95...they also have other titles available for the Symbian phones...
