Platforms for Different PDAs and PPC

Hi guys,

Anyone here who know the diff platforms for different OS?
Example: axim50 -> win2003 -> ARM

I dont know that platforms is for Symbian. I have a P910i i dont know what softwares to download. thx

According to a Google search, that phone uses Symbian v.7.0.

Hi Gigi,

I know its symbian 7. so whats the extension for that? SH3? ARM? im dont really know much about this. thx for the quick response

Symbian is an operating system that grew out of a consortium of mobile makers to build on Psions EPOC operating system. Although the os itself is nearly the same some manufacturers have added their own user interface. The most popular of these are (nokias) series 40 and 60, and sony errickson's UIQ which is what you have.

so you have
p910 -> symbian 7 -> UIQ if that helps

It won't run apps written for windows mobile or pocket pc though so you can't use the sh3 or ARM builds of pocket pc software

I remember from my psion days that Sybian installers are .SIS files. I'm also fairly sure that they use StrongArm CPU's, but I don't think that matters really - just get a .sis installer for P910.
